Had more fun on the racetrack then I have had in many years. I think some of us lose our nicety when we are pitted against others on a twirly track with a gas pedal that actually responds. I know I do.
After racing for over an hour, we took the party to a casino in Lakewood. Some of us decided to have a drink or two (or three or four.....). When we drink, we lose our filter. This can be a lot of fun, or it can cause us to worry about the repercussions of the unfiltered actions we take while under the influence. I'm lucky, because the guys I work with meet two main criteria that allow me to drink with them, without much worry.
- They are intelligent in an analytical way (they are not empty-headed/bored enough to stretch the truth and gossip after a night of partying)
- They are open-minded (they are not affronted and insulted when someone is having a good time, in a way that is not previously sanctioned by main-stream society)
